Application Configuration

Select Preferences | Set Look and Feel.... This invokes a dialog that allows users to change the way the application's user interface is drawn. The application supports three look and feels at this time: CDE/Motif, Metal, and Windows. Changes to the look and feel take place immediately and are saved when the application is closed.

Select Preferences | Settings.... This invokes a dialog that allows users to configure several application properties. Some changes do not take affect until after the application is closed. All changes are saved when the application is closed.

Property	Description
Help and Tips	Controls the method used to display help information.     Local Browser displays help information in a simple html viewer.     Web Browser displays help information in the user's default web browser. Controls the duration (in seconds) that tips for items such as character entities will remain visible.
MRU Files	Controls the number of items stored in the MRU file list at the bottom of the File menu and the length of the paths prefixed to the file names.
Parser Debugging	A boolean property that controls the writing of a debug file to the user's home directory when an SDD is compiled.
SDD Edit	Controls the default foreground and background color; tab size; font; and font size for SDD tabs.
Tab Placement	Controls the placement of the tab heading for error tabs. The tab heading can be placed above or below the tab's content.
Text Edit	Controls the default foreground and background color; tab size; font; and font size for text tabs.
